    I was born and raised in Abuja, Nigeria and I’ve been a part of UNT NSBE since I became a UNT student. In the previous year, I've experienced tremendous personal and professional growth as an aspiring engineer, and as this year's Programs Chair, I'm excited to positively influence every NSBE member's life.     Tramel Middlebrook was born in the DM(V) or Virginia for those who may not know. He is a junior majoring in Construction Engineering Technology. His passion in construction came from playing with legos as a kid. In his free time he exercises, practices self improvement, and enjoys eating good food. This is his 3rd year on UNT NSBE executive board. His goals as NSBE President is to provide opportunities for professional development for his members and team so that they may succeed in their future endeavors. He wants to bring companies that are looking for diversity to the University of North Texas. He is eager to collaborate with other student organizations at UNT. Although, he is an entrepreneur he believes that you need a good team to reach the larger successes in life.

    My name is Isaiah Sears, and I'm currently a senior. I have two majors: Mechanical and Energy Engineering, as well as Physics with a concentration in Astrophysics. In my school, I hold the position of Treasurer. This year, my personal goals are focused on making new friends and strengthening the existing friendships I have. I hail from Killeen/Ft. Cavazos, which was previously known as Ft. Hood, Texas. Looking ahead to the future, my post-graduation aspirations include working at either Boeing or NASA, or serving the United States as an officer in the Air or Space Force.

My goal this semester is to allow UNT NSBE to have their voice heard as a chapter, and make any changes that will benefit us a chapter. I love helping people out, but what I love more is learning from others.

In addition to being a resident assistant, I participate in various on-campus organizations like the Nigerians Student Organization. I'm thrilled to take on the role of NSBE's Membership Chair this year, and I want to benefit the organization in some manner by giving our members access to the resources they require to be successful students. I enjoy developing my crocheting talents, spending time with friends, and reading books, especially African literature.

NSBE Faculty Advisor

Dr. Aloysius Attah

Faculty Advisor (he/him)

Attah holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Dayton, M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Information Systems Management from Walden University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas. He is Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by APICS; he is also certified as an Environmental Assessment Consultant (EAC) by the National Society of Environmental Consultants. His research and presentations focus on lean project delivery systems and information systems.
